Description
As a Family Legacy, Malaika by Cabou Coffee is the result of generations of coffee expertise passed down within our Brussels-based African family business. Every cup of Malaika carries the rich heritage and passion for coffee that has been nurtured over the years.
Sustainable Practices: Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond sourcing. We prioritize environmentally friendly practices throughout the production and distribution process. From eco-friendly packaging to responsible waste management, Malaika embodies our dedication to a greener future.
Malaika by CABOU Coffee – The story of CABOU Coffee just recently started in 2016 following a partnership with cooperatives of coffee farmers in Burundi, in the heart of Africa. The company works in close collaboration with BUJA CAFE 15 Plus to manage the washing station of fully-washed coffee called Munkaze. It is located in northern Burundi, in Kayanza province at an altitude of 1,800 meters.
Therefore, BUJA CAFE 15 Plus transforms cherry coffee into washed and fermented parchment coffee, which gives coffee a high quality. CABOU had the privilege of participating in 2018 the yearly Cup of Excellence competition, which awards the best specialty coffees in the Burundian market.
And as a bonus, here are some Brewing Recommendations: To ensure the perfect cup, we recommend brewing Malaika using your preferred method, be it pour-over, French press, or espresso. Experiment with different brewing techniques to unlock the full potential of this exceptional coffee.
